Day 15 - Stonehenge and Old Sarum

Torsten – Today we woke up and went to Stonehenge on a bus. Stonehenge is big and very interesting it served as a burial ground for the presumably important people. One guy was found with arrows and a bunch of arrow heads in his chest. After that we got on the bus again and went to Old Sarum, a castle on the top of a hill overlooking two rivers and 5 main roads. Henry VIII authorized somebody to take it apart. My hat went to Stonehenge and back. Natasha –Today we went to Stonehenge. It is quite interesting. You have to search up more online. Then we went to Old Sarum and I learnt that the place where the king went poop had to be added on to the tower he lived in, when we went to the ruins of a castle.

Day 2 - Southampton

Day 2 Natasha - We spent the morning… packing up so to say, and now I am on a cruise ship heading to Norway. We have a deck, two beds, the one my brother and I sleep in is also a couch, a closet which I can fit in, a bathroom and a curtain which separates our beds. Torsten - Today we woke up in our room. We went out to have breakfast at a restaurant and I had eggs benedict with English breakfast tea. Breakfast was very good. Next we went to Tudor house but it was closed :( so then we boarded the cruise ship. We explored the whole cruise ship. They have deck games! I am happy now! There is a big buffet. Our room has a balcony and our bed is a couch. At 4 we had to go and see a safety demonstration and for the rest of the day we played video games. NOTE: Our Internet is very spotty, so we may not be uploading every day.  Stay tuned!

Day 14 - Salisbury (England)

Natasha - Today we left the ship and got to a train station to get on a train that was headed near our hotel. Torsten – This morning we left the Norwegian Jade. We got on a train and stopped at Salisbury where we found our hotel called the King’s Head Inn. Then went to have lunch at a café. We had finger sandwiches and scones with clotted cream (a very good food you can’t find anywhere else.) and jam. It was very good 37.5 (½) out of 37.5 (½). We went and saw the Magna Charta. Then went back to our hotel room. My hat is on my bed.

Day 13 - At Sea

Natasha – Today is the last day of the cruise! I hope it is a good section of vacation! Torsten – Tomorrow we are back in Southampton. We watched the movie Black Panther today. Tomorrow I will wear my hat off the ship.

Day 12 - Stavanger

Natasha - Today we went to a canning museum. I liked it because it had activities about canning. We also went to the Petroleum museum. A short walk away was an awesome playground. Torsten – Today was very fun. We went to an interactive canning museum and a petroleum museum with a big Playground filled with big buoys that were bouncy. Maybe I should put a label on my hat.

Day 11 - Alesund

Natasha - Alesund had good weather. We went to a museum about fiiish. Torsten – Alesund had nice weather. We went to a museum about cod liver oil., a fishing museum, and had a very good lunch of steamed mussels and fries. Hat with me.

Day 10 - At Sea

Natasha - We watched A Wrinkle In Time and lounged about in our state room. Torsten – Today is boring to write about. So I am essentially going to skip this one. My hat is not not not gone.

Day 9 - Honningsvag

Natasha - We went to a museum, guess what it was about, fiiiiiiiiiiiish! We saw a dog which looked like a captain and many trolls. Torsten – In Honningsvag it was rainy and cold. We went to a museum about the city of Honningsvag from when it was first settled in to after World War 2. After we saw a dog wearing a captain’s hat. Speaking of hats, my hat is not gone.

Day 8 - Tromso

Natasha - It was wet in Tromso and I didn’t like it, but we went to an aquarium which they trained the seals right in front of an audience which I was in! Torsten – Today we were in port at Tromso. The first thing we did was visit an aquarium called Polaria. Like Natasha said they trained the seals in front of us. Next we went to a church but it was closed so we went back to the cruise ship. My hat is still here.

Day 7 - Lofoten Islands

Natasha – Today we went to Lofoten it is VERY beautiful there I took many pictures there. I like Norway. We rented a car and drove to two museums, the first one we went to was a fishing museums the second one was a Viking museum and my personal favourite was the Viking museum. Torsten – Today we arrived near Lofoten this port was different because the port was taken up by a cruise ship so there were tenders. Tenders are basically shuttle boats like shuttle busses but on water. First we went to the fishing museum in our rental car. The fishing museum was a small fishing town but a museum. In the town there was a post office, a bakery, a fisherman’s house, a cod liver oil factory, and other places but those were the only ones we visited. Next, the Viking museum. Day 6 - At Sea

Torsten - Nothing really happened. At 7:30 We went down a fjord to see two glaciers one of which is the second largest in Norway. My hat did not leave our room. Natasha – We played on my 2DSXL for most of the day, went to Splash Academy and we went through a fjord and saw 2 glaciers. One of them was second  largest in Norway.

Day 5 - Bergen

Torsten – Today we went to the Norwegian city Bergen. Bergen is a very large city. The first thing we did was go to a tower in there I got to wear chain mail. Also in the tower we learned about a person called Admiral lord sandwich. Next there was the Hanseatic museum, a museum about the Hanseatic league. The Hanseatic league was a trading group started by Germans. In the museum we learned about trading (mostly of fish).  Next the Hanseatic meeting rooms. It was rude to point in those rooms so there was a pointing stick, a stick with a hand pointing on the end of it. Lastly, the fishing museum. In the fishing museum we learned how to farm salmon, the importance of choosing the right kind of sea food, and how to build houses that you can move among other things. My hat is not lost. Day 4 Haugesund

Torsten - This morning we arrived in Haugesund, Norway. The first thing we did in Haugesund was we went inside the chapel. The chapel was big and brown. Next we went to an open air museum we made a toy boat. It started raining so we couldn’t explore the museum. We went to a second museum and we did a treasure hunt there. So we had lunch at a café than went back to the cruise ship. We had dinner than watched Avengers. The waves are rough tonight. My hat is on our desk. Natasha – Today I had trouble on the ship because there are big waves and I am very dizzy! We went to Haugesund, Norway.

Day 3 At Sea

Natasha – We went to the buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For the first time I went out to play on deck I played shuffle board. I joined something called Splash academy they do sports. Torsten – Today we woke up on the cruise ship. We went to the buffet for breakfast. After that I went to splash academy (I also signed up). Natasha and I are in different groups so we don’t see each other that much. I played sports like soccer and hand ball. I played shuffle board with Natasha. I told Natasha that the sea looks wet I asked her if she wanted to see how wet it was. Natasha said no. I still have my hat.

Day 1

Torsten - We just landed in London. On the airplane I saw the London eye. I was feeling airsick. I have not yet lost my hat but I probably will. The lines here are really long. We are getting on a bus to go to our hotel. Tomorrow we will get on a cruise ship. I hope they have deck games! Natasha - Today I felt soooooo hungry and tired because I didn't have breakfast. So we went to a café and me and brother had chocolate fudge cake and soda.
