Day 24 - London Eye, Brass Rubbing and Natural History Museum

Natasha – First thing in the morning we went on the London Eye, it was so big, and we boarded it but it was still moving! After the London Eye, which was breathtaking, we went to a Brass Rubbing Centre and rubbed some brass! It was fun, the rubbing, and we chose beautiful things to rub too. As a conclusion I think it a very good end of this trip. Bye – Bye! Torsten – The first thing in the morning we did was get on the London Eye. I got a lot of great photos at the top. After that we went to a brass rubbing place where you rub a piece of paper with wax and it makes a picture of what was underneath. The last thing we did today was see the Natural History Museum. It was very big there were sections on geology, biodiversity, and everything in between (of things in nature). My hat is sad to leave London.

Day 23 - Great Auntie Margaret

Natasha – Today we were supposed to go on a train but the line it was on got closed so we had to go on a different train. We got off and walked to our Great Auntie Margaret’s house. It was nice there, I watered the plants first the back then the front and played on my dad’s phone while the adults talked. After that we took photos. Torsten – Today was boring. We were supposed to go on a train line but it was closed because of a trespasser. So we took the longer route which was kind of boring. At Great Auntie Margaret’s house the adults talked about boring stuff so Natasha and I played Plants vs Zombies on my dad’s phone. My hat was bored too.

Day 22 - Kew Gardens

Torsten – This morning we got on the tube (subway) to go to Kew Gardens also known as the Royal Botanical Gardens. Inside was a lot of plants and gardens. We spent the whole day there and only covered one third of the gardens. My feet hurt. We saw the Temperate House, The Treetop Walkway, The Palm House, a Giant Badger Sett, a Log Trail, and The Hive. My hat got wet because of the sprinklers. Natasha – Today we went to Kew Gardens by tube. There we went to the Royal Botanical Gardens. We went to a life size Badger set which we could walk and stand in, a log trail which we had a challenge not to touch the ground which is possible, and the hive a recreation of a bee hive. There were sprinklers so we went in the spray and got wet.

Torsten – Today we explored Hampton Court, a castle built by King Henry VIII. In the castle we saw King Henry VIII’s apartments which was where he lived. In his apartments there was the Great Hall where he held banquets, his bedroom, a hall full of paintings, and the Great Watching Chamber where people would wait for King Henry VIII. Then we saw the kitchens; the use is very obvious. Lastly we finally explored the gardens. In the gardens there was a maze built for William III. My hat got lost in the maze (not really, I still have it). Natasha – Today we looked around Hampton Court. After that we went to The Magic Garden, a play structure which have a splash pad! Torsten poured a large bucket of water on me. I got soaked! I liked it though, it was a hot day and I was cooled off for quite a few minutes. After that we had ices.
