Day 17 - Bath

Torsten – In Bath today we first went to the roman baths. The roman baths were built in honor of the goddess Minerva. In the Roman baths there is a Frigidarium or a cold room. A Tepidarium or a warm room and a Caldarium or a boiling hot room. There was also the Great Bath a big warm swimming pool. The whole of the Great Bath’s water comes from a natural hot spring. You couldn’t bathe there because the water is not treated. Next we ate lunch. Than we went to see an art gallery. Lastly we saw bath abbey, a big abbey right outside the roman baths. My hat (INSERT WAY TO SAY IT IS NOT LOST). Natasha – Today I woke up in Bath! First we went to the roman baths. In there we could sample clean mineral water from the spring. For lunch we ate Sally Lunn Bunns this was my first time I ever tried one. It was very good. My mom felt sick so we went to the art gallery without her. We met up at Bath abbey and looked around a bit.

Day 16 - Salisbury to Bath

Natasha - Today we went to Bath by train. It was long and hot and stuffy. Then we went to our hotel and walked around outside. We went to a book store which had lots of books. After that we got a cup of very good lemonade at a food stall. We went to a park which had a lot of room to run after that we got ice cream with a flake! A flake is a chocolate roll that is very flakey. Torsten – This morning we got on a very full train to Bath. We saw a lot of Bath. In Bath there are owl art statues for a event. There are very many owls. Bath is a big roman city with pale tan walls and lots of cobblestone streets. We found a book store. Near the book store was a owl called “ J K Owling”. After that we had traditional fish and chips for dinner. We went to our hotel and stayed in our room. I am running out of phrases to say that I still have my hat.

Day 15 - Stonehenge and Old Sarum

Torsten – Today we woke up and went to Stonehenge on a bus. Stonehenge is big and very interesting it served as a burial ground for the presumably important people. One guy was found with arrows and a bunch of arrow heads in his chest. After that we got on the bus again and went to Old Sarum, a castle on the top of a hill overlooking two rivers and 5 main roads. Henry VIII authorized somebody to take it apart. My hat went to Stonehenge and back. Natasha –Today we went to Stonehenge. It is quite interesting. You have to search up more online. Then we went to Old Sarum and I learnt that the place where the king went poop had to be added on to the tower he lived in, when we went to the ruins of a castle.

Day 2 - Southampton

Day 2 Natasha - We spent the morning… packing up so to say, and now I am on a cruise ship heading to Norway. We have a deck, two beds, the one my brother and I sleep in is also a couch, a closet which I can fit in, a bathroom and a curtain which separates our beds. Torsten - Today we woke up in our room. We went out to have breakfast at a restaurant and I had eggs benedict with English breakfast tea. Breakfast was very good. Next we went to Tudor house but it was closed :( so then we boarded the cruise ship. We explored the whole cruise ship. They have deck games! I am happy now! There is a big buffet. Our room has a balcony and our bed is a couch. At 4 we had to go and see a safety demonstration and for the rest of the day we played video games. NOTE: Our Internet is very spotty, so we may not be uploading every day.  Stay tuned!

Day 14 - Salisbury (England)

Natasha - Today we left the ship and got to a train station to get on a train that was headed near our hotel. Torsten – This morning we left the Norwegian Jade. We got on a train and stopped at Salisbury where we found our hotel called the King’s Head Inn. Then went to have lunch at a cafĂ©. We had finger sandwiches and scones with clotted cream (a very good food you can’t find anywhere else.) and jam. It was very good 37.5 (½) out of 37.5 (½). We went and saw the Magna Charta. Then went back to our hotel room. My hat is on my bed.

Day 13 - At Sea

Natasha – Today is the last day of the cruise! I hope it is a good section of vacation! Torsten – Tomorrow we are back in Southampton. We watched the movie Black Panther today. Tomorrow I will wear my hat off the ship.

Day 12 - Stavanger

Natasha - Today we went to a canning museum. I liked it because it had activities about canning. We also went to the Petroleum museum. A short walk away was an awesome playground. Torsten – Today was very fun. We went to an interactive canning museum and a petroleum museum with a big Playground filled with big buoys that were bouncy. Maybe I should put a label on my hat.
